Taylor was a drill instructor at the US army replacement training center.
He also served with both the 3rd and 5th Infantry Division.

Bullock may have served with the 29th Infantry Division.

This helmet belonged to Cpl. Bob Fae Metcalf, USMC. Metcalf served August 17, 1943 to March 30, 1946. He entered service in Wichita, KS and was sent to MCB San Diego for his basic training. He attended Depot of Supplies, USMC, San Francisco, California. Graduating as a student of Ordinance Supply school January 1, 1944. When going overseas, Metcalf was assigned to Ordinance Company, 4th Base Depot, an all African-American Marine unit. He served with this unit on the island of Saipan during the invasion of 1944, his unit was attached to the 4th Marine Division. For February 1945 he was assigned to Ordinance Company, 5th Field Depot Supply Service FMF PAC, which was attached to the 3rd Marine Division and participated in the invasion of Iwo Jima. He and his unit landed D-Day +6 on ‘Purple’ and ‘White’ beaches. After these actions he was sent to allied held Guam, and finally Oahu, Hawaii, where he and his unit served out the remainder of their war. Cpl. Metcalf was officially and honorably discharged on March 30, 1946 at MCB San Diego.

This helmet belonged to Tommy C. Stamos, 64th Field Artillery, 25th Infantry Division.

It features a nice Westinghouse camo liner.

5th Ranger Battalion NCO helmet 5th Ranger batallion NCO helmet. The chinstrap bears the laundry mark N-1543. This helmet belonged to John M. Nenna, ASN 20101543, who served with D Company.
The helmet was bought for approximately $24.-from an elderly lady in the area of Arlon, Belgium in the 90's. Arlon is located on the south part of Belgium, only a few miles from the village of Differt where the 5th Ranger was located in 1944.
